Head of AI Search & GEO Architecture

Role Overview:

We are hiring a Head of AI Search & GEO Architecture to lead how our agency clients appear and get recommended across AI-powered search systems and large language models. Your mission is binary and absolute: make our clients more visible, more quotable, more citable, and more recommended in AI-driven environments.

This is not a traditional SEO-only role. We do not want someone to just turn the crank; we want the person who builds the machine. You will build this function from the ground up inside the company.

What You Will Actually Do (The Outcomes):

• Architect the System: You will not only execute, but also define our internal frameworks, SOPs, workflows, and service delivery models for AEO and GEO.
• Reverse-Engineer the Machines: You will conduct research on AI search patterns, content surfacing, and LLM responses to inform our strategies.
• Build the Measurement Infrastructure: You will create scalable tracking systems to measure AI performance, entity prominence, and citation frequency.
• Weaponise Data: You will extract actionable insights using tools such as SEMRush Enterprise, AI Optix, Profound, and Evertune. You will translate this complex data into clear, strategic recommendations for internal teams.
• Standardise the Execution: You will develop and maintain prompt libraries, testing frameworks, and methodology documentation to standardise our implementation.
• Collaborate and Scale: You will collaborate with SEO, content, and strategy teams to ensure your methodologies are practical, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

• You possess a strong foundation in Technical SEO and On-Page SEO.
• You have deep expertise in semantic SEO, entity optimisation, and search intent modeling.
• You have a relentless passion for AI search behaviour, LLMs, and generative platforms.
• You are an analytical thinker who is able to convert data into strategic insights.
• You have the strategic mindset and ability to build a department or function from scratch.
• You possess strong documentation and communication skills.

Bonus Points (The Separators):

• You have experience creating internal SOPs, frameworks, or methodologies from scratch.
• You have experience in prompt engineering, AI content optimisation, or programmatic SEO.
• You are familiar with NLP, knowledge graphs, and LLM architecture.
• You have exposure to API-driven analytics and automation workflows.
